Innovative Complete Retirement Communities
Today’s older adults have high expectations when it comes to their retirement lifestyle and healthcare needs. Methodist Homes seeks to not only deliver on these expectations—we aim to exceed them. At beautifully expanded and renewed Fair Haven in Birmingham, Alabama, and expanded and renovated Wesley Place on Honeysuckle in Dothan—Methodist Homes has introduced the innovative Household Model of care providing a real experience of home. We are the first in Alabama to do so! At both of these retirement communities, you’ll have the peace of mind of knowing that should you ever need an additional level of care, you’ll find it right on the campus you already call home.

Income-friendly, affordable senior living communities
Methodist Homes now offers seven affordable housing communities. Four of these communities are income-based, meaning that rent is based on his or her individual income. Three communities are rent-restricted, meaning that a low monthly rent is set based on a percentage of the area’s income.
An engaging lifestyle for every life stage
Many older adults choose independent living accommodations when they are ready to shed the stress and maintenance of a house, and want to settle into a community lifestyle to be close to care, if ever needed.
Assisted living is for those who need a little extra help. Our friendly, trained associates assist with daily routines, such as having someone on call to help with getting in and out of the shower, supervise medications and more.
Memory Care Assisted Living
Memory care assisted living allows residents to still enjoy an engaged, enriching lifestyle with an added level of security and trained support for mild to moderate dementia.
Guests can expect to recover from a planned surgery, or an accident or illness with the goal of a quick recovery and return to home. All of our rehabilitation accommodations are in the revolutionary new Household Model that offers a real experience of home.
Long-term Nursing Care
With 24-hour supervision and assistance, long-term nursing care is ideal for those whose more complex health challenges require help with all the activities and routines of daily life. A significant portion of Methodist Homes’ long-term nursing care accommodations are in the Household Model, and those that are not are being converted into cozy neighborhoods, the Household Model’s closest kin.
Confidence of More than 50 Years of Experience
The feel-like-family warmth and care that Methodist Homes communities are known for is wrapped in more than 50 years of faith-based trust and tradition. We are managed by a nonprofit board of directors, that is known for emphasizing financial stability. Our leadership and associates aspire to live the principles of kindness and love for all as we continue our legacy of enriching lives in new ways—every day. For leadership and experience you can trust, you can be confident that your decision to move to a Methodist Home is a good one.
